Lifelong learning policies will be discussed in Riga

RIGA, Latvia. The third meeting of the project Learning Insights in the Nordic Baltic Area (LINBA) will take place in Riga at 8 − 9 June.  The meeting will discuss the survey results of the project. .

The project has organized a small-scale survey of adults´ participation in education in three Baltic countries and Finland. This will update the earlier European wide surveys and provide comparative data. The other one is an analysis and a comparison of the Lifelong Learning policies in these four countries.

The style of Art Nouveau appeared on the scene in Riga in the late 19th and early 20th century.

What project?

There are quite a number of quantitative researches in the area of adult education carried out in the four countries. However, there has been no comparative qualitative research undertaken in this area. Therefore, within the framework of LINBA project a partnership of institutions active in adult education and research in four Nordic-Baltic countries – Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia – will be created.
